My name is Miguel Angel Gañan.

I was born in Madrid, in 1955, and lived for more than 30 years near the present bullfighting arena called "Las Ventas", in Alcala street.

My primary and secondary school was "Fundacion Caldeiro" until 1972, when I started at the university.

I studied Aeronautical Engineering in Madrid, at E.T.S.I. Aeronauticos, where I graduated as Engineer in 1977.

After graduation, I worked for 5 years in an engineering company in Madrid (Empresarios Agrupados), until in 1984, together with three friends, founded the company where I am one of the partners and director (Investigación y Programas S.A.).

From 1997 I live in Buenos Aires, where IPSA has one of its international offices. But from 1998 there is an even more important reason to live here.
Personal Profile
In november 1998, I married  Gabriela Yoshihara, argentinien with japanese ancestors, and in january 2000 our first daughter was born: Sol Gañán Yoshihara.
Since I started working in 1978, the main hobby I spent all the time I could, was travelling, and along with it, photography.

To enjoy even more the contact with the people of the different countries I visited, I learned english, german and a little french. Now, since our daughter was born, I have started learning japanese, so that she doesn't loose that part of the family culture.

Besides that, I like reading and cinema, and above all, sharing with friends those special moments around a table full of beer and "tapas" (an spanish custom, for those that don't know the word).

Due to my interest in airplanes, some years ago, I got the private pilot license, and from time to time, I spend some hours flying over different parts of Spain.

The purpouse of these pages is sharing in some way with my family, friends and anyone who comes by, those travels and experiences that have made my life so interesting.

If one learns something while travelling, is to enjoy with the people of different cultures their customs, food and places, and most important, to understand and respect those persons with whom sometimes you just share an instant or a smile.

I hope you enjoy these pages, and send to me any comments to improve them (in content or format), since this is my first experience with web publishing.
